Welcome to Tiny Hearts Tiny Barks Chihuahua Rescue & Sanctuary in Pittsburg, Missouri. We are dedicated to providing abandoned, neglected, abused, homeless, and at-risk Chihuahuas with a safe, loving environment where they can heal, find comfort, and experience the dignified second chances they deserve.
A permanent, loving home for special needs pups
While our rescue works hard to find forever families whenever possible, some dogs remain in our permanent sanctuary. Chihuahuas stay with us for life due to advanced age, ongoing medical needs, behavioral challenges, or other circumstances that make traditional adoption difficult. Here, every dog is cherished just as they are and is promised safety and respect for all their remaining days.
Everyday life in our cozy sanctuary
Life here is filled with love, comfort, and gentle routines. Our sanctuary residents receive plenty of one-on-one attention, cozy heated dog beds, warm wet food breakfasts, and an all-day buffet of dry kibble alongside delicious treats. They enjoy secure dog door access to the backyard for fresh air whenever they please, and at night, most snuggle up to sleep right in bed with us.

Our long-term residents thrive on stable routines, gentle companionship, safe socialization, age-appropriate exercise, mental stimulation, and regular veterinary monitoring.
